Profile Removal
Last updated: June 26, 2026
Instonic respects privacy, content ownership, and user control. If your public Instagram profile, story, highlight, image, video, or related public content appears on Instonic and you want it removed from our website, you can submit a profile removal request.
This page explains how removal works, what information we need, and what happens after you submit a request.
Request Profile Removal from Instonic
Instonic is designed to show publicly available Instagram-related content only. We do not unlock private accounts, hidden content, blocked stories, restricted profiles, or content that requires login approval.
Still, we understand that some users may not want their public profile or public media to appear through third-party tools.
If you own or manage the Instagram profile, you can request removal from Instonic.
To request removal, contact us at:
Email: [email protected]
What We Can Remove
You may request removal of:
- Your public Instagram profile from Instonic search results
- Public stories linked to your username
- Public highlights shown through Instonic
- Public images or videos displayed through Instonic
- Cached profile information, if stored or displayed
- Public username results connected to your profile
Once reviewed, we may block your profile from appearing through Instonic tools.
What We Cannot Remove
Instonic can only remove or block content from Instonic.
We cannot remove:
- Your Instagram account from Instagram
- Your stories from the official Instagram app
- Your profile from Meta or Instagram servers
- Content from Google Search results
- Content from Bing or other search engines
- Screenshots saved by other users
- Copies stored on third-party websites
- Content shared or reposted by other people
If you want content removed from Instagram itself, you must use Instagram's own reporting or privacy tools.
Information Needed for Removal
To process your request faster, please include the following details in your email:
- Your full name or business name
- Instagram username you want removed
- Profile URL, if available
- The exact Instonic page or tool where the profile appears
- Reason for the removal request
- Proof that you own or manage the Instagram profile
- Best email address for follow-up
Example subject line: Profile Removal Request – @yourusername
Please do not send your Instagram password. Instonic will never ask for your Instagram login details.
Proof of Ownership
We may ask you to confirm that you own or manage the profile before removing it.
Acceptable proof may include:
- Sending the request from an email listed on your website or business profile
- Adding a short temporary note in your Instagram bio
- Sending a screenshot from inside your Instagram account settings
- Providing another reasonable proof of ownership or authorization
This helps prevent fake removal requests from people who do not own the profile.
How the Removal Process Works
After receiving your request, we review the details and check whether the profile or content appears through Instonic.
The usual process is:
- You submit a removal request by email
- We review the username, profile URL, and reason
- We may ask for proof of ownership
- If the request is valid, we remove or block the profile from Instonic
- We may confirm the update by email
Most valid requests are reviewed as soon as possible. Some requests may take longer if ownership is unclear or if more details are needed.
Public Profiles and Third-Party Tools
Instagram public profiles are visible to anyone who can access Instagram publicly. Instonic may display public content in a browser-based format when a username is searched.
However, public visibility does not mean every profile owner wants their content shown through external tools. That is why we provide this removal request page.
If you do not want your public profile to appear on Instonic, send us a removal request and we will review it.
Removal from Search Engines
After a profile is removed from Instonic, search engines may still show an old page title, snippet, or cached result for a short time.
This happens because search engines update their index on their own schedule.
Instonic cannot directly control how quickly Google, Bing, or other search engines update cached results. Once the page is removed or blocked on our side, search engines normally update their results after recrawling.
Content Owner Requests
If you are the owner of an image, video, story, highlight, brand asset, or other media displayed through Instonic, you may also contact us for removal.
Please include:
- The content URL or page where it appears
- The Instagram username connected to the content
- A short explanation of your ownership claim
- Contact details for follow-up
We will review content owner requests and take appropriate action where needed.
False or Abusive Requests
Please submit removal requests only for profiles or content you own, manage, or are legally authorized to represent.
We may reject requests that are:
- Fake
- Misleading
- Incomplete
- Sent by someone without authority
- Made to remove another person's lawful public profile
- Used to abuse or disrupt the service
We may ask for more information before taking action.
Privacy and Safety
Do not send sensitive personal information unless it is needed for the request.
Never send:
- Instagram passwords
- Login codes
- Bank details
- Private messages
- Sensitive documents not related to the request
Instonic does not require your Instagram password for removal requests.
